WHAT TYPE OF ADVERTISING SHOULD YOU CONSIDER?
1. THE LIVE READ
This is a commercial, which is read live by the presenter or in some instances, it is pre-recorded without any sound effects. This kind of commercial has the added benefit of standing out from the pre-produced commercials that will be playing on the station at the same time.
2. THE SPONSORSHIP
This commercial is a popular and very effective way to get maximum exposure for your product and/or business. You can either sponsor a full programme, one hour of a programme or segments like the weather, sport, traffic or any other special segment on the radio. You can also suggest a segment and be the sponsor of that segment. With each sponsorship you will get a 10 Second Top, Middle and Tail ad which with mentions like: “This programme is proudly sponsored by…….”
3. THE STRAIGHT COMMERCIAL
The straight commercial is normally a monthly commercial that focusses on the benefits and prospects of what your business offers to your clients and where they can reach you. This commercial should normally contains your slogan if you have one. This is a very effective way to become a household name.
4. A COMMERCIAL WITH A JINGLE
One way to really make your commercial memorable is to use a jingle. A custom produced jingle can really elevate your commercial and make your business seem much more professional. The music in a jingle can really paint a very vibrant picture of your business in the listener’s mind. They will really remember your commercial and your business when they can’t get your jingle out of their heads. Think about how many times you’ve caught yourself humming along to a commercial jingle. You just can’t help it. All productions are included in our packages, but there is an additional cost for a pre-produced Jingle Commercial. Please ask your Sales Assistant for more information.
5. ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN
- DIRECT RESPONSE CAMPAIGN
If your business is interested in using radio advertising to market a specific product, service, or event, a Direct Response Campaign is designed to do just that. It speaks specifically to your potential customer who is in the market for your product or service. It involves a call to action inviting that listener to do business or to learn more through other media forms. It reaches a specific customer group and engages them today.
This type of advertising will invite people to your company, your facebook page, your website or at least get them to pick up the phone and call for more info. For this type of campaign, we recommend a minimum of 25 commercials per week for at least 2 weeks prior to your event.
- BRANDING CAMPAIGN
A Branding campaign focuses on telling your brand story rather than selling your product. It is about creating top-of-mind awareness for potential customers whether they’re in the market today for your product or not. It sends a message to all potential customers about what you stand for, why you’re in business and how you can help. Lastly, it works to engage the customers of today and tomorrow. This type of campaign emphasizes your business and where you are located and will get the listener to become interested in your brand. Now or in the future, your potential new customers will identify with your brand because they are aware of who you are and what you stand for. For this type of branding campaign, we recommend a minimum of 40 commercials per week over a period of time ~ between 3 to 6 months.
Campaigns should always be followed up with Straight Commercials about your business to keep the listener interested.
